Penny Vlachou (MSc, RD) Nutritionist and Dietician

I am a HCPC Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist, and I offer tailored advice to individuals or small groups who desire to improve their dietary habits after medical advice, for fitness, weight loss and/or optimal health achievement. My approach is evidence-based and up-to-date, as well as practical and supportive.

My educational background is a Nutrition and Dietetics degree, followed by a Masters with specialisation in Weight Management. I currently work as a full time dietitian at a private hospital. I also offer private consultations at the Natural Health Service directed to individuals and small groups if suitable. Educational sessions for larger groups such as schools and companies are also offered.

Changes in food consumption and lifestyle can make an absolute difference on your health. However, these changes are more likely to be successful and sustained when they are accompanied by professional support.

What will happen during the sessions?

During the consultation, I will complete a detailed dietary assessment which includes clinical history, anthropomentry, weight history, physical activity levels, diet history, assessment of diet overall and any other relevant parameters. I will set realistic lifestyle goals, give specific dietary and physical activity advice, supplement recommendations (if required) and cooking suggestions. All this information will be provided in a written form shortly after our session. You may be asked to bring recent blood test results with you, depending on your health condition.

During the follow up sessions, I will make dietary and lifestyle amendments when required, while further dietary, physical activity and cooking tips will be provided, as well as motivation and support.

Analysis of diet via nutrition software and assessment of intake of macronutrients and micronutrients can be provided with extra charge.
